Living With Autism: Week 10

I've decided to do weekly blogs instead of daily. Hopefully this will be easier to keep up with.
Ok so for an update. Carson is doing pretty good. He has finally started speech therapy again after being on the waiting list for awhile. His first appointment was today. We aren't sure about his new therapist. She didn't seem to click with him so we will give it more time and see what happens.
He has been so affectionate and more interactive with us and Madison. He has said HI a few times now which is a HUGE step forward! We are remaining hopeful that more words will follow :)
We have his quarterly progress meeting tomorrow so I will update after that.

Carson had his Halloween fest today at school!!!!  He had so much fun and dressed up as a pirate :)

Carson had a BIG moment yesterday morning. He said HI!!! I was so proud of him and I'm praying there will be many more words to follow!

Keeping up with this blog is getting more difficult everyday. I am going to try really hard!

Today was a great day for Carson! He was happy and did great at school. He requested on his ipad 15 times!!! He is waving again and interacting with his sister more and more!

Carson has started to wave again! We have been working on it for awhile. He used to wave but suddenly stopped. I have been trying really hard to get him to say Hi when he waves. Last night I heard it! I was ecstatic! I know he has the words in there. We just have to try to get them out!

Living With Autism: Day 48

Carson was very hyperactive today but he was in a great mood! He is learning to string beads at school and he is doing great. He is working on some hand strengthening activities and today at school he had to squeeze a glue bottle. He did pretty good. His goals this quarter seem to be more challenging. I hope he masters them all!
